Dr. Deirdre Ryan
Dr. Ryan’s journey to veterinary medicine began on her grandfather’s dairy farm, where, while bottle-feeding a calf, she realized her calling to care for animals. She earned a BA in Psychology from Harvard University and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, where she received awards for excellence in small animal medicine and surgery. She then completed a post-doctoral internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA.
Dr. Ryan spent 13 years as an associate at Wellesley Natick Veterinary Hospital and later served as Technical Services Veterinarian and New England Regional Manager at BLUE Buffalo Company. Returning to her passion for hands-on care, she founded VetValet to bring high-quality, in-home veterinary care to pets while providing convenience for their owners. Dr. Ryan lives in Wayland, MA with her husband, three daughters, two dogs, and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis, travel, learning about other cultures, and being a proud hockey mom!
